METHOD — [B] Major Labs Sentinel scan of GitHub public repositories tagged mcp-server, model-context-protocol and related, captured 2026-05-26 to 05-29. Unique repositories after de-duplication. “Transport declared” reflects signals found in README and manifests, not a live protocol probe. Ecosystem-wide counts (~10k+ active servers, [C] Anthropic Dec 2025) are larger than any single scan; this tracks what we independently catalogue.
